HEALTHCARE PROVIDERS
You want the best for your patients
You know that lifestyle changes are the first line
of treatment, even when medications are necessary.
You're already having the conversation about lifestyle changes, but...
- Your time with patients is limited, making it hard to fully educate and support them in making lasting changes.
- Many patients struggle to follow through on the lifestyle recommendations you know could improve their health.
- Managing a growing number of chronically ill patients is overwhelming, leaving you stretched thin.
There is a gap between the medical advice you are giving your patients,
and the challenges they face in implementing those changes into their lives....
As a Nurse Health Coach, I fill that gap
I offer your patients the support, education, and accountability
they need to turn your recommendations into action.

You provide the expert guidance, I provide the tools...
When we work together, your patients get the information, tools, and support to develop habits for improved nutrition, better sleep, increased activity, and stress management – key factors for weight management and reduced disease risk.
With this support, many patients may
- Improve management of chronic conditions
- Lower A1c, blood pressure, cholesterol, and weight
- Reduce reliance on medications (under your guidance)
- Gain confidence in making lasting health changes
- Feel better and more in control of their well-being
Together, we help patients take meaningful steps toward better health
I get it...
The health of your patients is important to you. You talk to them about healthier habits, but changing habits can be really hard!
I’ve been a registered nurse for 20 years and spent 15 years working directly with patients, 1:1, in their homes. I know how frustrating and discouraging it is to provide patient education only to see that—even with the best intentions—many struggle to follow through on lifestyle recommendations..
Honestly, my nursing education simply didn’t teach me HOW to help people make healthy changes that last, and and behavior change skills aren’t a core part of medical training, either.
I also understand the crushing weight of productivity requirements and the heartache of feeling burnout in a job that you once passionately loved.
In my search to do more for patients—and reignite joy in my career—I discovered that health coaching is a powerful tool for supporting lasting change and improving health outcomes.

I attended Duke’s health coach training program, then went on to become a national board-certified health coach trained in lifestyle medicine.
Since 2018, I have collaborated directly with doctors to support patients in improving their biometrics, reducing or avoiding medications when appropriate, and feeling more in control of their health.
I know firsthand how impactful health coaching can be. I struggling with a debilitating autoimmune disease that profoundly limited my life. Through lifestyle changes and the support of a health coach, I was able to drastically reduce the impact of my condition and improve my overall well-being. I now take less medication and can consistently participate in the activities I love. While my journey has been transformative and everyone’s path is unique...
That's how powerful lifestyle medicine health coaching can be.
Nurse Health Coaching enhances the support you provide to your patients!

Who are ideal patient referrals?
The best referrals are patients who are interested in making lifestyle changes and fit one or more of these categories:
- They could benefit from improving nutrition, movement, stress, sleep, or other health-promoting behaviors.
- They are taking a GLP-1 medication and want support in maximizing results while minimizing side effects.
- Have a chronic condition such as obesity, hypertension, high cholesterol, prediabetes, type 2 diabetes, or an autoimmune disease.
- Wants to reduce medication use (when appropriate) or avoid the need for new or increased prescriptions.
Why refer to a nurse health coach?
When patients struggle to follow through on the lifestyle changes you recommend, a nurse health coach bridges the gap between knowledge and action—providing guidance and support for lasting habits
For diabetes management, you refer to a diabetes specialist.
For mental health support, you refer to a therapist.
For personalized nutrition, you refer to a registered dietician.
For most of your patients,
Implementing health changes and making them stick is the hardest part.
They WANT to follow through on your professional advice, it’s just not easy.
A referral to nurse health coaching offers the structured support
to turn your recommendations into real, sustainable change.
I complement the work you’re already doing, providing additional time and tools to help patients take action.
You provide the what to do—I help them with the how.
How is this Different?
You’re already educating your patients on healthy lifestyle changes
But for many, information alone isn’t enough.
Changing habits can be challenging, and most people struggle to maintain new behaviors long-term.
Health coaching builds on education by incorporating motivational interviewing, positive psychology, adult learning techniques, mindset work, and behavior change science to help patients:
✔ Find their inner motivation
✔ Work through obstacles
✔ Apply new habits into their real lives
I guide your patients through an evidence-based process that turns knowledge
into lasting change—far beyond what they could achieve with information alone.

Health coaches "help people take big goals and break them down into accessible, bite-size pieces — not by telling clients what to do but by helping clients figure out what will work for them.”

A few of my happy, healthier clients
"I am miles away from where I started“
Ruth is a 63 year old female who came to coaching sedentary, slept only 4 hours a night, felt tired all the time, was short of breath while walking, and needed to sit and rest after climbing stairs. After coaching, Ruth is sleeping 6-7 hours a night, feels energized and clear-minded, is no longer short breath while walking and can go up 3 flights of stairs without getting short of breath. She also reduced her A1c from 7.6 to 7.3 while reducing her daily insulin by 28%, completely eliminated GERD symptoms, lowered cholesterol and triglycerides, and lost inches off her waist. “I am miles away from where I started. I feel confident in my ability to sustain the healthy changes I have made and am excited to continue making more." - "Ruth, Arizona
"Long-term strategies vs a diet"
Carol is a 62 year old female who lost 14 pounds and lowered her A1c from 6.4 to 6, LDL cholesterol from 140 to 103, triglycerides from 255 to 186, and ESR from 73 to 36. She no longer needs Ambien, has more energy, feels less stressed, and feels more motivated to make healthy changes. "Coaching has given me the confidence that I can follow through with making healthy changes. I have learned long-term strategies vs a diet that is not sustainable."
-"Carol", Arizona
"I have BOUNDLESS energy!"
Jim is a 38 year old male who quit smoking, lost 20 pounds, shifted from sedentary to walking/jogging 4 miles daily, increased fruits and vegetables, reduced meat and reduced processed food. He has found a set of stress management techniques that he enjoys and reports having “BOUNDLESS” energy, and improved breathing. His self-confidence and positivity have increased tremendously. "I now know that I can avoid getting completely derailed by working on what needs to be addressed, keeping up healthy habits and getting back on track as soon as I can, if I get offtrack."
- "Jim, Vermont
A Prescription to Nurse Health Coaching is the key
For the patient with a health challenge, the "lifestyle prescription" has usually been told to them by a healthcare provider. They are often told to be less sedentary, manage stress better, get more sleep, improve their nutrition, etc. If they can be directed to a well-trained wellness coach, the prescription for lifestyle change can be successfully "filled".

I help you help your patients...
After coaching many folks over the past seven years, I’ve seen firsthand how health coaching can support patients in making meaningful changes.
I have the time to sit with them, help them explore what’s holding them back, and guide them in building habits that support their health, happiness, and long-term well-being.
Through coaching, many patients gain a deeper understanding of their conditions and how lifestyle habits influence their health.
With the right support, they can develop insights and shifts in mindset that empower them to take meaningful steps toward lasting change.
